Did you know? … Every two hours, a person’s life is changed when they sustain a spinal cord injury (SCI). Their world – and that of their family is turned upside-down. Injury can be caused by accidents, illnesses or health conditions; and NHS helps put newly injured people on the road to rebuilding their lives; and we guide help them to achieve a fulfilled life through our services. These includes peer to peer support, community groups, clinical support, counselling, advocacy and ongoing support throughout their SCI journey.
Our 2023 strategy has three main goals:
- A health and care system that works for people living with spinal cord injury.
- Double the number of members accessing our network of services.
- A UK government and public championing the cause of people living with spinal cord injury and their families.
With the support of our community here in Milton Keynes we hope to raise awareness, build relationships and together create a world where people with spinal cord injury can thrive, and not just survive.
